Welcome to Our Home...

Seagrave House is Corby's latest care home and is managed by Avery Healthcare, one of the countries leading elder care providers. This residential care home is opening in March 2011 and will offer residential and dementia care to older people from Corby and across north Northamptonshire.

Designed to an extremely high specification, Seagrave House has 75 bedrooms, all with en-suite walk in showers, and will provide residents with a standard of care that is comparable to any good hotel. Communal lounge spaces as well as dining areas are light and airy, and the enclosed rear garden is a haven of relaxation, with ground floor rear rooms each enjoying their own designated patio. At Seagrave House our lounges are free from televisions, as it is our belief that home life is enhanced when our residents are free to relax and socialise without hindrance.

Aside from the relaxing rear garden, the home is ideally suited for any lovers of sport, as the home is just a few metres from, and overlooks, Corby's local bowls club with its two bowling greens. Adjacent to the home is a the local Rugby club, whose pitch is merely a stone throw from the home itself. The home has built up a good relationship with both these clubs which will provide a year round feast of sporting action to anyone who likes to relax whilst watching local sports. We expect a great many of our residents to sit outside and enjoy the bowls during the summer months.

Enjoy the Finer Things

Our own chef prepares fresh meals daily and is always baking us delicious cakes and other snacks. Residents dine together at Seagrave House and it's an important part of the day in the life of the home. It is when residents come together, and its a chancce for us to all enjoy each others company in relaxing surroundings. Our meals are of a high restaurant standard and are nutrionally balanced, and we encourage all our residents to share meals with invited guests whenever they wish.

Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds

At Seagrave House we understand the value of a varied and daily activities programme. We have a dedicated Recreation and Leisure Co-ordinator who will ensure that residents are stimulated and kept as busy as they want to be. We know that a vibrant home is a happy home and activities are part of the settling in process. We hope that all our residents can make new firends, relax and enjoy what this lovely home has to offer.

Seagrave House is part of the community and we will always try to include the local community into our daily activities. When we can, we also try to get out as much as possible. We draw heavily from he local community, so it is only natural that we invite the same community into our home from time to time and to enjoy activities with us, whether it is schools, local groups or clubs.
